Fashola approves appointment of 4 judges


Lagos Governor, Babatunde Fashola

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Wednesday approved the appointment of four high court judges for the state.
This is contained in a statement issued by the spokesperson for the Lagos State Judiciary, Grace Alo.
Ms. Alo said the newly appointed judges are Iyabo Akinkugbe, Serifat Sonaike, Abdulfattah Lawal and Abisoye Bashua.
Ms. Alo said that the approval followed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Aloma Mukhtar.

It said that the judges would be sworn-in on November 21.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the appointment brings to 54, the number of judges in the state judiciary.
