The Canadian parliament is on lockdown after a Gunman entered into the main building while being chased by police.
Panic broke out in the Canadian Parliament today, October 22, after a gunman shot a soldier at the War Memorial in Ottawaand was chased into the main building by police officers.
The parliament has been locked down as reports say that at least 30 more shots were fired in the building.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper is said to have exited the building safely while a member of parliament, Mark Strahl, tweeted:

"Very tense situation in Ottawa this morning. Multiple gun shots fired outside of our caucus room. I am safe and in lockdown. Unbelievable."
The wounded soldier has been taken away in an ambulance but the condition of the gunman is still uncertain as some reports say he has been killed while yet others say he is still at large.
The incident is still unfolding and police and other security personnel have surrounded the area.
