The Secret to Master Negotiating Is Seeing, Not Thinking

In coaching thousands of negotiators over the years, I’ve observed that the most difficult skill for people to master is the ability to simply see what’s happening in the negotiation, rather than applying logic, thinking, reasoning, analysis, or judgment.

Top Tips to choose your wife/husband

Know yourself

This step is very important if you really want to choose the right partner. You have to know yourself. Some people are searching in all corners of the earth for their soulmate but come back in vain. One of the reasons of that failure is that the bachelor did not ask himself. So the, before loving someone, before making your choice on the right guy or girl to marry, start by asking yourself the real questions: who are you? What do you want? What are you expecting from your partner? What do you like most? All these little questions may seem tiny but are very important. It is after answering these questions to yourself that you can start defining who you are and what you really want.
Be positive and keep smiling

After knowing yourself, you can now begin to change your mind. The next key for alluring your future wife or husband is being positive. By being positive, people will automatically call on you, run to you and would like to by your side because of the energy you are spreading all around you. Don’t worry, it’s metaphysical. Keep smiling, not in blissful ignorance but the acceptation of the reality: that you are what you are, good-looking and valuable. These two steps are more than essential. It is all in the attitude.
What do you want?

There is no formula in love. You may already know the type of guy/girl you would like to date and that is correct. You find your love and that is all. If you have not yet defined clearly what kind of person you want to be your husband or wife, do not worry. These are things that have to be discovered solely and patiently. The person may not be what you have been expecting, but if there is love, communication can begin.
Common interest

The proverb says that birds of the feather lock together. This may be true in some cases but generally speaking, the two individuals need a common interest. It may be playing video games or horse riding. It doesn’t matter; you just have to be sure that there is, at least, two things that you like to do with the other person. This will play a big role in the couple’s future life together.
Can you communicate to each other?

This is another key point. Two persons who cannot talk to each other just cannot live together. For a period of time, it can be possible but for a long-term relationship, it does not work. The two peoples have to share their feelings (happiness, likes and dislikes, anger, etc.) to each one other. And once again, we repeat it: communication is the basis of a long-term and happy marriage.

These are just few tips but the decision is yours. Be who you are, be positive, define what you want and what you do not want and finally choose someone that you can talk with and who has a common interest with you.

Pharmaceutical CEO: Cancer Drug Is Only For Westerners Who Can Afford It

BAYER CEO Marijn Dekkers
In 2005, the FDA granted approval for a promising new cancer-fighting drug called Nexavar. Bayer took it to market shortly thereafter, and it is currently an approved treatment for late-stage kidney and liver cancer.
That is, so long as you live in the developed world. During a panel at a Financial Times conference last month, Bayer CEO Marijn Dekkers appeared to suggest that his company’s life-saving drug isn’t for poor people. The comment was first reported by Bloomberg Businessweek:
“Is this going to have a big effect on our business model? No, becausewe did not develop this product for the Indian market, let’s be honest. We developed this product for Western patients who can afford this product, quite honestly. It is an expensive product, being an oncology product.”
The comment was in response to a decision by an Indian patent court that granted a compulsory license to a local company to reproduce Bayer’s drug. Under Indian patent laws, if a product is not available locally at a reasonable cost, other companies may apply for licenses to reproduce those products at a more affordable price. Nexavar costs an estimated $69,000 for a full year of treatment in India, 41 times the country’s annual per capita income.
In 2012, Indian pharmaceutical company Natco Pharma Ltd. applied for just such a license, and it was granted. The company began reproducing the drug at a 97 percent discount, offering it for just $177. Bayer has been appealing the ruling ever since, and in December Dekkers told Businessweek that he viewed the compulsory license as “essentially theft” before dismissing poor Indian cancer patients.
Pharmaceutical companies have long been accused of ignoring the plight of those who cannot afford their astronomical prices. In the United States, where insurance companies often pick up most of the tab, consumers are often shielded from the true cost of drugs they are prescribed (Nexavar, for example, costs as much as $96,000 in the United States, but Bayer ensures that eligible US patients only see a $100 copay).
Dekkers’ quote brings into sharp relief the industry’s general ambivalence towards the developing world. A 2012 report from Doctors Without Borders found that most pharmaceutical companies devote only a small fraction of their operating budgets to fighting diseases that disproportionally affect — and kill — millions of the world’s poorest people

Michael Schumacher no longer in a coma, has left hospital and is now communicating

Some good news for fans of 7-times Formula One world champion, Michael Schumacher. According to a breaking news report, he is no longer in a coma and has left the hospital in Grenoble, France where he'd been receiving treatment after being involved in a skiing accident on December 28th 2013 in the slopes of Meribel in the French Alps that left him with severe head injuries.

Schumacher had been an artificially-induced coma for over five months before he was moved out of intensive care into a rehabilitation ward. His managr released a statement today Monday June 16th
'Michael has left the CHU Grenoble to continue his long phase of rehabilitation. He is not in a coma anymore. The family also wishes to thank all the people who have sent Michael all the many good wishes. We are sure it helped him. For the future we ask for understanding that his further rehabilitation will take place away from the public eye."
The Formula One legend, said to be worth over $600million, has a long way to recovery though, which willinclude physiotherapists, doctors, nutritionists, nurses and neurological experts.

5 (gross) things you do without thinking about it

Hygiene can be, well, ambiguous. While there’s no debate on whether it’s okay to pee in the pool—the fact is, it’s just plain gross—many of us choose to neglect the unwritten rules of hygiene, and heighten other people’s risk of contracting unwanted germs, diseases, and illnesses.

If You Want To Be A Leader, Start Acting Like One

People are constantly asking me for advice on how to get promoted. They want to move up the ranks at their company, take on more leadership work, and be held responsible for more moving parts. While the notion of being a leader seems nice (but far off), you’ve got it backward. It’s not suddenly that you’re anointed as a leader and with that, you’re bestowed responsibility – quite the opposite, actually. If you want to become a leader, start acting like one.

Do We Have Leaders Or Bosses as Our Government ?

This is a true picture of what we see in our Country Nigeria. From my own point of view, The situation of our nation's leadership (Government) have gone beyond corruption , personal interest and greed. It is now a pure wickedness and man's inhumanity to man.

A drunk police officer with the Mopol 20 in Lagos identified as Tafa Mohammed was filmed brutalizing 2 women at Lewis Street, Lafiaji, Obalende, Lagos Island, after one of the ladies, a street food vendor, refused to sell him fish to finish up his beer.

According to Sahara Reporters, the food seller was said to have declined to sell fish alone, except to those buying food with it, a vendor policy that angered the policeman. The policeman, who was reeking of alcohol according to eye witnesses, then targeted a female customer who was buying food from the same vendor and pulled the women into muddy water where he physically assaulted her.

Mohammed is then seen drawing his gun and pointing it at one of the women and was actually backed-up with the presence of another mopol. The torture reportedly caused internal injuries for the victim. Watch the disturbing video after the cut...
