The death toll in the church building collapse in Edo state has risen to three. The structure which belonged to Christ Chosen Church of God yesterday collapsed at Uzama Street, Uzebu quarters in Egor Local Government Area killing while some men were trying to demolish it.

It was said to have been vacated by the church following its relocation to a larger site.

We had earlier reported that nine people were working in the church but three of them had left to purchase some items at the time of the collapse.

Three out of the six remaining were said to have been brought out of the rubble with varying injuries while one was brought out dead.
