Social media activists have been challenged to extend their activism in cyberspace to their communities.
The Ekiti state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi threw the challenge during a question and answer session with key social media actors at the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort.
Governor Fayemi told participants at the forum that he spent the greater part of his youth confronting military authorities with the aim of changing society for the better.
There was a tour of the state the previous day by participants of projects across some communities in 7 local governments in the state.
The Ekiti Pavilion and Civic Centre, both under construction, the Funmi Olayinka Cancer Diagnostic Centre built in honour of the late former deputy governor of the state were some of the projects visited during the tour.
Others include the Itapaji and Ero Dams, used for irrigation projects.
The tour ended at the palace of the Owa-Ooye of Okemesi, Oba (Dr.) Michael Gbadebo Adedeji.
